Explore Your New Community!

Connect, Explore, and Belong in Pictou County.

Starting life in a new community can be challenging, and we’re here to help! We’ve put together a collection of local attractions, services, and businesses across Pictou County, organized into 10 unique itineraries that you can explore at your own pace. While you can view all the details here on the website, we’ve also designed a fun, interactive way to get to know your new community—the Pictou County Connected Passport!

1. How to Get Your Passport
2. Move around with PC Transit
3. Extra ways to explore
4. "Stamp" your passport
5. Tell us how we did!

Visit the Pictou County Partnership’s office at 151 Provost St, Unit 202, New Glasgow.

Pick up your passport and start exploring!

Most itineraries can be completed using public transportation, and we encourage you to explore the bus system with a complimentary 1-Day Family Pass included in your passport.

On the day of your choice, you and your family can ride the bus freely—just show your pass to the driver for validation. Your passport also includes a printed map with bus routes to help plan your adventures.

Your passport comes with 11 exclusive coupons for discounts or special offers at participating locations. Simply present the coupon to redeem the offer.

Be sure to check the expiration date on the back of each coupon and confirm the location’s operating hours before visiting.

Just like a travel passport, your Pictou County Connected Passport allows you to keep track of the places you visited by collecting stickers at most locations in each itinerary.

Look for the Pictou County Connected sign—it could be by the cashier, on a window, or on the wall. Collect stickers to track your progress and celebrate your journey!

Once you’ve completed at least one itinerary and collected the stickers to prove it (one sticker per page is okay!), we’d love to hear from you!

  1. Scan the QR code on page 22 of your passport or click here (link to the Feedback page) to complete a short survey.
  2. Tell us what you loved, what could be improved, and suggest ideas for new adventures!
  3. As a thank you, visit our office to pick a special gift from our Pictou County Connected collection.
